FLOWER DISSECTION
My favorite experiment is the flower dissection. This experiment was
about cutting a flower to observe the different parts with the microscope.
Equipment or material
For this experiment we
need: a microscope, scissors, forceps, a knife and a flower.
Procedure:
1-Carefully examine your flower and compare it to the diagram in the
previous page.
2-Carefully with the forceps, remove all the petals and sepals.
3-Pull up a stamen with the forceps and put it in a slide to observe it with
the microscope. Try to notice small pollen grains.
4-Carefully remove the pistil from the flower. Make an up-and-down cut
with the scalpel to it.
5-Cut the stamen in a half.
Thanks you for attention!
